WavViewDX Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions for Windows:
- Download the WavViewDX installer executable
- Make sure that WavViewDX is not running on your PC
- Start the installer
- If you get the error message "Could not extact file! glew32.dll" (or similar), double check if WavViewDX is really shut down, or reboot your PC and try again.

Installation Instructions for Linux:
- Download WavViewDX for Linux using the download link above
- After the downloaded completed, open a terminal, go to the download folder and extract files to the desired location
- Afterwards, start WavViewDX from the terminal
- To create a start menu entry: Click on the "Setup" button on the upper right of the window. There, click on button "Start Menu Entry".
Note: You can choose a different installation folder if you want. If you change the installation folder, you have to create a new start menu entry.
Terminal commands (example):
  cd ~/Downloads
  tar -xf wavviewdx.tar.gz -C ~/.
  ~/wavviewdx/wavviewdx

Installation Instructions for MacOS:
As the app is not downloaded from the app store, macOS will prevent execution of the downloaded app.
Before you can start the application, you have to remove the extended attributes:
- Download the WavViewDX for macOS using the download link above
- After the downloaded completed, move the WavViewDX app to your desktop
- Open the Terminal app
- In the app, enter this command:   xattr -c ~/Desktop/wavviewdx.app
- After executing the command in the terminal, you can start the app. You can also move it to the applications folder if you want.
